The bumpers protect the tyres from jamming or getting stuck in narrow alleys and near bollards. They also provide a secure fixed point for connecting the trailer. The integrated sensor lights are a very practical feature: they shine forwards and backwards to provide good visibility for other road users when cycling or walking in the dark. The lights are charged via USB connection.
